(Founder & Owner)
Raphael has grown up around dogs and assisted his grandmother since the age of 4 while she was healing stray dogs and rehabilitated them. After she passed away, he kept a deep passion for dogs and they literally became his family ever since. He decided to start giving Puppy Class Dog Training in 2000. As of 2002 he has been practicing as a part-time Dog Behaviour Counsellor next to his day job with his dog Paco. He’s an active member with leading associations worldwide: APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers), IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the ABS (Animal Behavior Society) and the DWA (Dog Welfare Alliance), this helps him stay in touch with other professionals, learn and network to constantly challenge himself and stay inspired for continuous improvement. He’s currently a Canine Life And Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) Instructor and Evaluator and studies much from the expert and great human being Ian Dunbar whom he considers as his mentor.
He met and continuously follows seminars of Ian Dunbar, Turid Rugaas, Winkie Spiers, Simon Gadbois, Adam Miklosi and other renowned experts and continues to attend their educational events.
After his dog Paco deceased in 2011, he decided to focus 100% on serving pet owners and their animal friends through setting up Pets Assistance Company (currently PACo Pet Care) in 2012 as a self-employed and provide a variety of pet services.
At this day PACo Pet Care is a successful Pet Service Provider thanks to the contribution of his loving wife, his passionate and devoted team, supporters and trusting clients. We’ll be forever grateful to everyone helping make this adventure come true.
His principal role within the company, besides leadership & development, is to ensure that ethical and professional care is given to our client pets. Next to that he’s a Dog Behaviour Consultant for clients, Dog Shelters and other Pet Services companies through his business CaniSense Pet Behaviour Training.
